Homogeneous-isotropic flow

The following documents are related to the generation of a time-series of flow fields in turbulent homogeneous-isotropic flow, i.e. the flow in an idealized infinite domain. Here, the motion is either driven by the initial state and then decaying in time or constantly forced at large scales such that an equilibrium state is reached. In the latter case, we reach Taylor micro-scale based Rynolds numbers up to Relambda=150 and at the same time keep a very good resolution of the small scales, by using a number of 512 fully-dealiased Fourier modes in each spatial direction. The simulation code is based upon sources kindly provided by A. Wray of NASA Ames, USA.
