A 256**3 Fourier-mode simulation of the large-scale forced flow in a triply-periodic box is performed. The Taylor Reynolds number settles to approx. 50. The animation shows isosurfaces of vorticity intensity with a magnitude of three times the current r.m.s. value. The linear dimension of the sub-volume shown in the movie (and the picture below) measures about 120 Kolmogorov length scales.
