TOPIC: General Introduction
GOAL:  Hello World, Pi

We will cover the basics of parallel programming and give an
introduction to MPI. We will learn the basic five commands which drive
a simple parallel program. At the end of the class everyone will have
(successfully) written their own type of "hello world!" program and
have a go at the parallel computation of "pi".
